Call the helpline or walk into any Violence Against Women Centre. You are registered and settled somewhere comfortable first. You do not need documents, a complaint number, or anyone's permission to come.
An officer works out whether you are in immediate danger. If you are, police rescue or emergency medical care is arranged straight away — that happens before anything else, including paperwork.
You and your case officer decide together which services you want: legal, medical, counselling, shelter, or any combination. The choices are yours to make. Nothing is decided over your head.
The Centre delivers what was agreed — an FIR and legal representation, a medico-legal report, counselling with a qualified psychologist, a shelter place — either directly or through a verified partner.
Your case officer checks in at set intervals, around one month and six months on, to see that you are safe and that the plan is still working. The file does not simply stop when you leave the building.
Your file is closed once what you set out to achieve is safely met — or whenever you decide to stop, which you may do at any point. Closure is recorded only with your informed consent.

You can call the toll-free 0800-01737 Helpline immediately for active emergencies. Our 24/7 rescue teams coordinate with Punjab Police for immediate extractions from abusive environments.
We provide free legal representation by designated Law Officers. They help register FIRs, fight for Protection Orders (restraining abusers), arrange safe residence, and handle child custody issues.
Yes, absolute confidentiality and data protection is our core principle. All data is strictly restricted and disclosures only happen with your explicit, signed informed consent.
A neutral third party helps resolve disputes amicably. However, mediation is strictly PROHIBITED in severe physical abuse cases to ensure the victim's safety.

Bahawalpur: The Women Protection Center Bahawalpur has achieved another success in providing legal support and protection to women facing family and child custody-related issues. Kiran, a resident of Bahawalpur, approached the Women Protection Center Bahawalpur for assistance in obtaining the custody of her children. The center provided her with free legal assistance and guidance throughout the case. With the support of the center, Kiran successfully secured the custody of her children. Expressing her gratitude, she thanked the Women Protection Center Bahawalpur, Punjab Women Protection Authority, and the Government of Punjab for supporting her in her pursuit of justice. Kiran also specifically appreciated the efforts of Madam Tayyaba and Madam Sidra, saying that they provided her with valuable legal assistance and guidance during the proceedings. Following the successful resolution of her case, Kiran expressed her appreciation for the services being provided by the government-run Women Protection Center Bahawalpur. She said that such services provide important support to women facing difficult family and legal circumstances. She also conveyed a message to other women facing similar problems, encouraging them to approach their nearest Women Protection Center and seek legal assistance so that their issues can be addressed through the proper legal channels. The successful outcome brought happiness and relief to Kiran and her children, who were delighted to have their mother’s support and care. The case is another example of the important role played by Women Protection Centers in Punjab in providing women with access to legal assistance, protection, and support, helping them pursue their rights and seek justice.
Mianwali: Another woman has achieved success in her legal proceedings with the support and assistance of the Women Protection Center Mianwali, highlighting the center’s continued efforts to provide legal and protective services to women in need. The victim woman successfully pursued her case before the Family Court, where she received legal guidance and support throughout the proceedings from the Women Protection Center Mianwali. Expressing her gratitude, the woman appreciated the services and assistance provided by the Women Protection Center Mianwali and thanked the center for standing by her during the legal process. She acknowledged that the support she received helped her move forward with confidence in seeking justice. The woman also expressed her sincere gratitude to the Government of Punjab for providing effective legal and protective support to women and for taking initiatives aimed at ensuring their rights, safety and access to justice. The success reflects the importance of accessible legal assistance and survivor-centred protection services in empowering women to seek justice and protect their rights.
I am deeply grateful to the Women Protection Center Bahawalpur for providing me with free legal assistance in my child custody case. With their support, I successfully gained custody of my children. I sincerely thank Madam Tayyaba, Madam Sidra, the Punjab Women Protection Authority, and the Government of Punjab for helping me achieve justice.
