When returning home is not an option, our mandate under the Punjab Protection of Women Against Violence Act includes facilitating immediate access to safe shelter. Whether it's Darul Amans or verified private shelter homes, we manage the entire referral process from evaluating health, packing personal belongings securely, to arranging transport.
The locations of our referred shelters are extremely secure. We coordinate heavily with shelter administrators to ensure absolute location privacy.
We document any critical medical history, disabilities, and the number of dependents (children) requiring accommodation alongside you.
Before transfer, staff will brief you extensively on the shelter home's rules and regulations, rehabilitation opportunities, and discharge policies, guaranteeing informed consent.
An officer securely tracks your transport and hands off your case file specifically to the Assistant Director of the Shelter Home.
